South Africa’s ex-minister, Pravin Gordhan, took his last breath on September 13, 2024, at 75. His wife, Vanitha Raju, hasn’t broken her silence on the ordeal that devastated the Gordhan family.
The anti-apartheid struggle veteran played a significant role in issues related to integrity, governance, and fiscal discipline.
His career in public service spanned decades, marked by his leadership in the South African Revenue Service (SARS) and his multiple terms as Finance Minister.
One of the prominent figures in South African politics, Pravin, whose professional life is like an open book, kept his personal life away from media scrutiny.
Pravin Gordhan and Vanitha Raju shared two daughters, Anita and Priyesha!
Pravin Gordhan had been married for many years; however, he and his wife, Vanitha Raju, shared a private and low-key life.
She did make a few public appearances; however, she never became a household name, so little to no information about her is available online.
The couple shared two daughters, Anita and Priyesha Gordhan, from their blissful married life.
While Pravin is known for shaping South Africa’s fight against corruption, his daughter, Anisha, has focused on building her path away from the limelight.
Anisha has a distinguished career spanning over 15 years in the private equity industry, beginning her journey at Investec Private Bank in 2006.
Later, she quickly moved into significant roles in her career, including Business Owner for Strategic projects. Her role at Investec Private Equity saw her rise as an Investment Professional.
Anisha’s expertise expanded further when she became the manager of Strategy and Operations at Deloitte Consulting.
Eventually, her career success skyrocketed with her role as CEO of Pan-African Capital Holdings Proprietary Limited.
Pravin had defended his daughter, Anita, over the allegations, citing she benefited from state contracts!
In response to allegations made by the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), Public Enterprises Minister Pravin had shielded his daughter, Anisha Gordhan.
The EFF claimed Anisha benefited from state contracts, but Pravin denied these accusations. In response, Gordhan explained that his daughter worked at Investec Bank from 2007 to 2017.
Her role was to represent the bank as a non-executive director for small private businesses, but she didn’t own shares or make any money from government contracts.
South Africa former Finance Minister, Pravin, called the claims untrue and said the EFF was unfairly targeting his family for political reasons.
