However, the tragedy that followed in the one place where he should have felt safe and secure is horrifying.

Jahziah’s mother has been heartbroken at the loss of her beloved son, as it is that the grief of losing someone is unimaginable.

In a statement during her tribute to her son, she expressed how Coke brought joy and light into her life, saying:

Jahziah was a very polite, kind and family-orientated young man. He was very loving and always smiling. His smile would light up the room. He was very kind-hearted.

Following the tragic event, Jahziah’s friends released a balloon in his memory, and people left flowers and heartfelt notes outside the house.

Although the family is shattered and adjusting to the switch in their lives, specialist officers are supporting them.

Losing a life so young to such a heart-wrenching incident is a reminder of the need for compassion in our communities.
