The horrifying news of a mass sniping at a Georgia high school, allegedly masterminded by a teenage boy has shocked the general public. Colt Gray, who is the prime suspect in a school shooting in Georgia, suffered a lot from his parents’ separation along with his siblings.
Colt Gray is a 14-year-old teenager who is the prime suspect in a gruesome mass sniping at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia.
The authorities have apprehended Colt with the charge of second-degree homicide.
This terrifying incident took the lives of four innocent people; among them, two of them were students, and the remaining two were the teachers of the school. Similarly, nine people were also injured in that mass shooting.
The Teenager Was The Mastermind Behind The Horrific High-School Sniping!
Colt Gray is the eldest child of Colin Gray and Marcee Gray. He has two other siblings: a sister and a brother.
There is no information regarding his two siblings in the public domain. This must have been done to protect and conceal the children’s identity.
However, we found some pictures of the Colts’ siblings from Marcee’s Facebook post. The children seem to love being outdoors and getting along with each other.
Due to the extreme nature of Gray’s offense, many started questioning the boy’s family, parents, and upbringing.
The real question was how the young boy got his hand on a firearm. However, after many investigations, people found out about the family’s tumultuous relationship and past.
The father, Colin Gray, was the person who handed his son Colt with a semi-automatic AR 15-style rifle.
This revelation was enough to boil people’s blood. Father and son used to spend their time together shooting guns and hunting.
Moreover, Colin also mentioned that he encouraged his son to be more active outdoors instead of playing video games on his Xbox.
The father swelled with pride when he showed the investigator a photo of Colt hunting down a deer,
“You see him with blood on his cheeks from shooting his first deer. It was just the greateast day ever.”
Prior to the mass shooting, the FBI investigated and interviewed Colt after receiving an anonymous tip about making school sniping threats on Discord. During that investigation, Colin had assured that
“He knows the seriousness of weapons and what they can do, and how to use them and not use them. He’s not a loner, Officer Miller. Don’t get that. He just wants to go to school, do his own thing and he doesn’t want any trouble.”
They also interviewed Colt at the time, who denied making any threats and revealed that he had stopped using Discord.
Eventually, one year later, the horrific school sniping took place, which shocked and disheartened a lot of people.
Colt Gray Might Have Had A Rough Childhood!
Many people have started showing sympathy towards the teen after finding out about his parents’ toxic marriage and ugly divorce.
Similarly, in recent years, Marcee Gray had opened up about her abusive marriage with Collin Gray on her social media. She wrote a caption in one of her post;
“After 14 years of almost constant domestic abuse, I packed myself and my babies up and relocated to my hometown in south GA. We are all good and my kids are thriving.”
Additionally, she also posted an alarming post mentioning the abuses her husband endured when he was a child.
In 2023, Georgia police apprehended Marcee on charges of concealing the identity of a vehicle and selling, distributing, or possessing a dangerous substance.

Additionally, there was also an accusation that Marcee had threatened to take the life of her husband.
Moreover, Marcee’s sister, Annie Brown, blamed Marcee for destroying her family with her substance addiction and the offense she carried out to buy substance.

Furthermore, Colin Gray opened up about his son’s bullying at school. He believes that the constant bullying by Colt’s classmates might have drawn him toward roughness.
He also revealed that the couple’s divorce greatly impacted their son and he wasn’t handling the separation pretty well.
All of these revelations made Colt a subject of pity, and people believed that his actions were the result of his parents’ negligence and lack of proper guidance.
Colt has been charged with four felonies of homicide, and the authorities did not find any motive behind the shooting.
