A hard-working nurse from Oregon went missing on September 4, 2024. Unfortunately, after a three-day search, she was found deceased. Her husband, Bryan Llantero, is devastated after this horrific and inconsolable revelation.
Melissa Jubane, of Filipino descent, was a Registered Nurse at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. While a student at the University of Portland, she worked in the Nike Company Store.
On September 4, 2024, the nurse failed to show up for her morning shift at work. This concerned her co-workers, who requested the authorities to conduct a wellness check at her residence.
After a long three-day search, police discovered her remains but haven’t given any more details about the case. They’ve taken Melissa’s neighbor Bryce Schubert into custody for her disappearance and homicide.
After a lengthy courtship, Melissa and her husband, Bryan Llantero, tied the knot in 2024!
Melissa Jubane and Bryan Llantero were in a decade-long relationship and eventually married on August 25, 2024, in Oahu, Hawaii.
The longtime couple celebrated their union with their closed ones at Waimea Valley on August 25.
Hailing from Hawaii, Bryan is a US Navy lieutenant stationed in Washington.
Llantero stayed in Washington state with Melissa’s mother-in-law, Imelda Llantero, while Jubane stayed close to her workplace in Oregon.
Imelda Llantero said her daughter-in-law was planning a shift to Washington with them. Although the newlyweds were long-distance, they would travel back and forth to meet and spend time with eachother.
The mother-in-law was very fond of Melissa and was very close to her. She felt Melissa was like her own daughter.
Moreover, she described Jubane as a humble, attractive, and intelligent individual, saying.
“I miss her. I’m so happy Bryan met her, I told Bryan to always love her. They were happy, very happy.”
Even though Bryan’s Instagram profile is private, he loves and cherishes Melissa regardless of her physical absence. Llantero has set his and Melissa’s picture as his Instagram display, flaunting their happy married life.
Bryan’s family was very welcoming to Melissa, and Melissa was equally present in Bryan’s life. She was also there to celebrate Bryan’s small to significant achievements.
Similarly, prior to Melissa’s demise, the couple spent time together on Labor Day, and Jubane went back to work on Tuesday.
Bryan contacted Melissa on Wednesday, Sept. 4, around 6 a.m., not knowing that this would be the last time he would hear from her.
Melissa Jubane is remembered as a welcoming and selfless person!
Everyone who knows Melissa describes her as a kind, sweet, and selfless person who always dreamed of becoming a nurse.
Melissa was also very adventurous and traveled around a lot. She even has posted a picture of her surfing.

Unfortunately, Melissa and Bryan couldn’t even enjoy their married life, which they had just started a week before her demise.
Furthermore, the authorities have refrained from giving any details to preserve the “integrity of the probe.”
The man who is accused of taking the life of Melissa is a 27-year-old nurse. The police claim that they’ve enough evidence to apprehend Bryce Schubert and charged him with second-degree homicide.
