The 53-year-old Britain’s Got Talent judge recently revealed in a radio podcast that she is bringing a new member to the world.

Many thought that the media personality was hinting at a pregnancy, but now it turns out to be a shocker.

Holden humorously revealed that she adopted a dog as her eldest daughter, Lexi, went to university.

She called it a replacement daughter, and people worldwide reacted with a lovely gesture expressing her love for animals.

The actress is already an ambassador for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. After learning that its fosters had abandoned her, she decided to adopt a puppy from the animal home.

Speaking with co-host JK on heart radio, Amanda disclosed the story of amusing her husband, Chris, at the dinner table, saying:

I sat at the table and I said, ‘whilst we’re all feeling stressed and emotional, there’s something Chris I need to tell you.’ There’s going to be a new addition to the family.’ Chris looked utterly shocked.

The news shocked Chris Hughes, but his expression gradually turned from confusion to surprise as he understood.

Though the family was emotional as they farewelled their daughter to the university, the surprise lighted everyone’s mood.

Amanda Holden further joked, emphasizing that a new human baby was not on the horizon, and said:

Obviously, you know, I’m 53. Honestly my eggs are like raisins at this point, I’m thrilled because as an ambassador for Battersea Dogs and Cats Home… got ya!

The adoption collided with the family farewelling their eldest daughter when Battersea asked her for consideration.

Just a day before, an unidentified person dumped three puppies at a Battersea home, and coincidentally, Holden was eager to foster a new child.

Even though she joked about her pregnancy with puppy fostering, people seemed to forget it and love her more because of her actions.
