The Suspect in the Trump Assassination Attempt, Ryan Wesley Routh, Has Parents Whose Identities Remain Unknown
Ryan Wesley Routh, who is a parent to a 25-year-old son, is currently under investigation for an attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump.
Routh, born in 1966, hails from Guilford County, North Carolina, USA.
He became well-known following his apprehension for allegedly trying to take former President Donald Trump‘s life.
Routh has a contentious past, including a history of illegal charges and questionable assertions regarding military recruitment.
Ryan Wesley Routh Has Somewhat Complex Family Background
Despite the lack of substantial information regarding his mother and father, he is known to be of Caucasian ancestry.
In 2018, Routh relocated to Kaʻaʻawa, Hawaii, from Greensboro, North Carolina.
Ryan Wesley Routh was married in January 1989 and has three sons and one daughter, oldest son name is Oran and another son is Adam Routh.
Though it’s unclear what exactly she looked like, he and his wife divorced on March 10, 2003.
Routh stated he had abandoned his construction company in Hawaii to “tie up every loose end to get out of town.”
When his wife and three children were in their 20s, he said of them, “They can fend for themselves; they don’t need a dad anymore.”
Oran, Routh’s oldest son, texted CNN:
“a loving and caring father, and honest hardworking man. I don’t know what’s happened in Florida, and I hope things have just been blown out of proportion, because from the little I’ve heard it doesn’t sound like the man I know to do anything crazy, much less violent.”

Routh took to custody on September 15, 2024, on suspicion of trying to slaughter Donald Trump. He initially supported Donald Trump but later became highly critical of him on social media.
In 1991, authorities named Ryan Wesley Routh a “super citizen” for assisting in the capture of a possible predator.
Among the many legal troubles Routh had to deal with was a 2002 felony conviction for having a weapon of mass destruction.
He received a lockup term in 2003 for possessing a concealed firearm and driving without a license.
The court placed him back on probation after being found guilty in 2010 of possessing stolen good.
Following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022, he made an effort to aid that country’s military endeavors by enlisting Afghan combatants.
Despite being convicted of an offense, he cast a ballot in the Democratic primary in March 2024.
Routh turned down despite his intention to fight in Ukraine due to his lack of military experience.
Moreover, he expressed his disenchantment with politics in a book titled “Ukraine’s Unwinnable War,” published in 2023.
Ryan Wesley Routh founded CampBox Honolulu, a company that specializes in creating storage units and tiny houses, to give homeless people in Hawaii a place to live.
